umm actually you can isolate an axis, X,Y,or Z (bear in mind the axis are different in blender than most other aps) while rotating or scaling etc... jsut press the middle mouse button, or alt+left mouse button. now that will restrict the movement to a single axis (anything you do, scale rotate move ...

I've had serious problems embracing LoqAirou/NGB/Verse all along - not for the reasons you mention, but more as a general gut-feeling. The reason for this, I believe, is that I still have not seen any sort of reasonable connection from Blender 2.x as we know it to the above software projects. It's ...

actually WAVK

i have just tested 2.27 on windowsXP

and it seems to be VERY FAST (faster than the old version) for rotating the 3d scene.

even with antialsing on.

anyway perhaps its just my linux video drivers that are the problem.

so i don't really know what is cauesing it,

yeah Wavk i noticed this rotating bug too. now i know whats causing it. i downloaded Mandrake expecting blender to be faster on it, but rotating my scene with 1 million + polygons was UNUSEABLE, when it was about 15 frames persec on the old version, it was about 1 frame per second on the new 2.27. s...

this is a quote from Alien_XMP (i belive that is correct) Also there is Code: #define MAXLAMP 256 in source/blender/include/blendef.h and source/blender/makesdna/DNA_lamp_types.h but it is only used by the renderer. I don't see any real reason why you can't bump that to 32k and recompile. It shouldn...
