Compiling Questions: HUGE file size, patches, and... config?

Hi everyone, I've decided to venture into the world of compiling, and I must admit using the CVS to get the latest features is wonderful! (Except when it gives tons of errors, like the ones I'm having now... but that's no the issue right now) My situation: I'm currently using Cygwin and all the litt...

Help finding the N Panel code? (CVS?)

Hi! Due to a case of extreme need and curiosity, I am now facing the terror of having to lurk around Blender's source code... I am not really interested in learning the functionality of the whole code as a WHOLE... (not YET atleast...) I'm rather interested in finding the code responsible of collect...

For volumetric lighting you must use SPOT lights. Under the light buttons you can find a "HALO" button under the "Shadow and Spot" tab. Render your scene and you'll see your spotlight's "volumetric lighting". If you want to have the lighting react to objects (that is, have it not project through an ...

That's cool! I can't imagine the amont of fun you had moving around an empty space and then watching yourself in the screen of blender. This is in realtime? That's great! Nice work there... (but you sure seem to change shape every now and then in the vid :S)

Hi there, and welcome to the wonderful world of blender! I would suggest for your creation needs to post in the elysiun Game Blender forum, there you can get help from MUCH more people than here (these forums I think are more oriented into the development of Blender itself, and not developing conten...

Well, I don't know how that app opens flash... The thing is, I think it would be interesting to be able to import a vector animation as a texture (for placing 2d sprites) and render them seamlessly with the 3d environment, this I think could come specially handy because the vector graphic will be sm...

Import SWF animation as a Texture?

How hard could it be to code a plugin (or hardcode it into Blender) with which you can specify a SWF file you want to load allowing you to use the animation as a texture for an object? Just wondering... (I'm not asking for you to code it, although that would be neat, I'm just considering the possibi...

And yes, we're all anxious to get our hands on a build of your Integrated "game" engine... ...and you already integrating bullet into your version of the GE? that's fantastic! Anywa...

Hehehe, thanks for the reply. Anyway, your project here looks promising nonetheless, how many of us wanted to add a "blur module" to our games in the game engine before? (most) or a "underwater disort module"? Or even, "switch to infrared module" :D

Nice pic you got there btw.

Needless to say that most of us are anxious to play with the features you are coding... one question though... how does the engine behave? speed-wise I mean....

great work, keep it up!

Sorry for the late reply! I tested Blender again, and now it doesn't generate that error (i think it's my video card's problem). I'm running a Windows XP machine (go figure) with a Gfx card that's integrated into the Mother Board (not the wisest move, I know). It's a SiS 651 chipset. Anyway, thanks ...

Z key makes blender crash in render window

hi everybody, after giving it a shot at the bug tracker section (which ended up frustrating me even more) I will post my trouble here (hope it isn't way out of place) When you render something in Blender 2.37, and in the render window you press Z, after a few seconds of moving the image around, blen...
