Well, it's not that bad you know. Here's what everybody else does: * CTRL+W - ENTER (save the current file, takes less than a second) Then do the stuff you suspect might cause problems. And, if you indeed got into trouble: * CTRL+O - ENTER (reverts to last saved version of your file, takes less than...

wow.

I wouldn't mind seeing something like that. Now, cubic unwrap is not always the best way, but most of the time it should be extremely helpful!

I wouldn't mind if you mailed me a link or something :D

I was just performing some basic Carl Bildt-style peacekeeping.
Totally uncalled for, of course, but one can never be too careful. :D

Now go back to work, both of you! I'll just sit here on my lazy non-coding *ss and build some more armadillo-dogs...

In a perfect world, these differences between your machines should not matter, of course... But still - I think you've got your answer.

Please, anyone, feel free to correct me here!

Blender might not be the best 3D application around - but it is definitely the best FREE 3D application. No doubt about that. If you feel that you can afford to buy a really good 3D app - just go for it. LightWave gives the most bang for the buck. I don't really see why anyone would bother to regist...

Hej och hå! Well, first of all: ATI cards, Rage in particular, are not the greatest... I had one myself before, and it was an endless source of problems - at least with 3D applications, not only Blender... Nvidia är att föredra. Now, that doesn't help - about the installer, I haven't got a clue. I t...

Just for the record: Cessen--> Your work on the internal renderer is just excellent. Just keep going! Green--> Your work on the RIB-export is just excellent. It is the only really useful way to make an external rendering interface. Just keep going! For Blender 3.0, if that is to be a total rewrite f...

Well, it's a good thing that Renderman communications will be well integrated soon then. I would guess Green is more than 50% done by now. Nevertheless, the neat thing about open source is that anyone can work on any area they feel like improving, even if that means improving the internal renderer. ...

Re: ...

good results take longer time point. - - - or did anybody see pixar movies rendered with a low end app? Nope. Neither did I see them being rendered on a single workstation, which is what I and the majority of 3D-users have access to. YafRay and renderman compliants are excellent choices for users m...

That's quite a truckload of quotes, cessen. I must perform a counterstrike... =) a poor artist will not be able to make a good painting even with the most advanced brushes and paint, and a good artist will still be able to make okay paintings with a childrens water-color set. Aye. This is an area th...
