You need a keyboard with a separate numpad, the Camera control buttons, 1, 3, 5 etc are NumPad buttons. The 1,2,3 along the top are Layer options.

uv map your model and bake all your colours to an image file (best to keep the maps square 1024x1024 etc) then when exporting select only the mesh, otherwise you'll export all other elements of the scene. In unity you can import the mesh and images and set up your material assets Unity can read dire...

Just copy the Blend file to your Unity Assets directory. If blender is set as the default application to open .blend files Unity will be able to import the data.

perhaps your materials are casting shadows, activate Receive Transparency in the Material -> Shadow panel of your glass materials

Although Blender has a pretty good (and fast) renderer, for glass and transparency I'd suggest exploring one of the free external renderers such as Luxrender or Yafaray.

I use blender for working with scan data and found that the easiest solution is to re-mesh a lighter quad-based model using the snap tools, subdividing as you go to improve the detail. This allows for much simpler geometry for adding to. You can then use the original data to generate good quality no...

2.49 uses Python 2.5 where as Blender 2.5x uses python 3. Check your terminal window for odd errors, it could also be your window manager, try disabling higher display features while using 2.49
