just a small hint, it is easier to combine two mouse sensors: rmb and mouseover, so you do not have to play with values.

GameEngine executables and the Blender module...

is there any workaround to be able to use the Blender module in compiled games (save runtime)?

if not, this should made be possible in future releases somehow, some effects are very hard to achieve with only the GameLogic module (i.e. replacing an image for a face).

Re: is everyone over at elysiun.com or are we just quiet ?

(shhhh!) ack. i tried to start a discussion about game server developement (cause i'm going to implement one) and the thread somehow died, and i know as much as before. the problem is just: elysiun is not the place for coding discussions, and here is the only place for such things. but the low traf...

hy from Blender import * ow = Object.Get("Camera") if hasattr(ow, "perso"): print ow.perso bi² Object.Get won't work to access properties. you need to fetch your object via ow = controller.getOwner() i do this a lot to display text via ow.Text = "hallo". but i will have a look at it when i'm home. ...

i had some thoughts about this game server thingy, here's a short draft: 1 it should be simple. tcp/ip as underlying protocol should be ok. 2 clients (games) should have different possibilities: 2.1 make short, stateless connections to request information (good old http-like method) 2.2 can ask for ...

Re: property problem

hi, do you get an attribute error? maybe the property name does not match (but i do not think so). first, use a print dir(ow) to find out if your object really has this property. second use if hasattr(ow, "pousse"): print ow.pousse because it could be that the object is not 'prepared'. you should al...

hi *, i would like to start a small project, a game server for blenders game engine. it should be in python and splitted into 2 parts: the server and a module for the game engine to use the server's functionality. it also should be platform independend, pure python (both). i think i know how to impl...

which version to work with?

hi there, we are currently working on a game project, and i want to know (since 227 has still no game engine): will the future game engine be compatible to 225? especially the python api? if not, what will be a matter of changes? i ask this because we use a lot of python in this game and in this ear...
