Hmm, im finding it hard to picture what you're trying to do exactly. You can send me your startup.blend file through PasteAll so i can take a look at it. Also, there's no way to adjust the "hotspot" distance between the mouse cursor and mesh element (vert/edge/face), it seems to be arount 8 pixels f...

Not only that, but if you know a little more about the Python API, you can make your own custom rightclick menu with all the functions you want there. Especially for cases like modelling, having quick access to things like "Extrude" and "Merge" etc. it really helps.

The way to change it is right there - from the keymap editor. The spacebar menu registers a new keymap. It uses the universal "Call Menu" function with parameters "VIEW3D_MT_Space_Dynamic_Menu". If you open the source file for the Spacebar menu, you will notice this at the bottom: def register(): km...

You can consider using relative paths and keeping everything in subfolders of the program's main folder. User settings aren't saved portably anymore with 2.5x, at least not by default. They are located in \Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\Blender Foundation\Blender . To keep set...

Do you have some kind of multi-button / special driver mouse that could be doing this? You're gonna have to do a video of this while describing which buttons are being pressed so that i can get a better idea of whats going on and see if i can replicate the same behavior here.

Resizing only happens if you're holding Ctrl while dragging the mousewheel (not rolling it). Does this happen when everything is set to "factory defaults"?

It seems to be a bug related to horizontal UI layouts. Can you provide a step-by-step instruction on how to replicate this? Also, Ctrl+Middlemouse drag is the key combination that resizes UI items. Perhaps you did that? As for the console message, it seems like the filepath has both forward and back...

Hmm, the page looks pretty abandoned to me, hasn't been updated since 2007... However, mentioning Papagayo, i remember that there was an old import script for the 2.4x versions somewhere. http://blenderlipsynchro.blogspot.com/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qNrJne7DOwM Blender is coded in C, but it ...

Sorry, i don't think it works with "textured" view. If you want to preview the lighting, you can just go ahead and render the scene.

Oh, "Shaded" doesn't exist in 2.5. You can try to toggle the "Textured Solid" checkbox in the Nkey panel to turn viewport textures on/off (for Solid draw mode only).

The paper you saw there is a bit old now, it served as a guide to what the 2.5 UI should be when work on it started around october 2008. You can take a look at how 2.56 is right now - it follows most of the ideas in that proposal, perhaps with a few things missing. As for the Python reference, there...

Sorry, i don't think there is anything like that. I use Notepad++ for editing Blender's python files. You can make a custom code-completion scheme for it from scratch, but nobody else has done that already, especially since the Py API is not finalized yet and keeps changing.
