It is confusing because all news - also user-related - gets posted on blender.org. Conference stuff (developer related) and coding guidelines appear at blender3d.com. Just two examples. Another is that the user documentation is here on blender.org. So, I'd say the distinction is certinately not clea...

Motion Blur currently takes it's level from OSA, a different function. Very missleading, and limiting too. This would be something to change...

Plus, there is no reason I can see why the OSA level and MBlur level shouldn't be a numberbutton so you could set exactly the level you wish.

Blender.org/Blender3d.com merge

What's happening with the blender.org/blender3d.com merge? The devision between these sites is becoming ever more confusing, especially with conference info now on blender3d.com. It'd be good to have one dedicated Blender site with everything in it instead of the odd split we currently face. In Marc...

That is a very good proposal for changes. I hope it gets followed.

Simply letting the SetSmooth and SetSolid buttons act per edge instead of per face would do it for me.. I agree this is an important shortcoming(although it can be simulated by using Auto Smooth and/or P-key split which doesn't work with SubSurfs) that is in need of proper implementation.

Nice one! Some constructive critisism: Subsurf Optimal face selection now rocks. Well done. It looks incredibly nice with 'Draw Faces' and 'Draw Edges' on - why aren't these two options just removed and set to ON by default? I can't imagine anyone ever wanting to turn them off, plus some might never...

Wow... Ton's done it!

Give him a big cheers!

(Although the true potential of this will show itself once we get bevel functions and others that are written to support this kind of system)

Actually keeping the Edit mode undo style would make it slower IMO, since it would be saving BOTH the entire file (new undo) and previous mesh states (edit mode undo) at the same time. If we just stuck to the new undo all the way through it should theoretically consume less memory.. Make any sense?

Yeah, ideally copying and cutting text should work as expected too, utilising Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V instead of Ctrl-Shift-C and Ctrl-Shift-V, with Ctrl swapped to Command on the Mac. (Okay, Ctrl-C + Ctrl-V works, but only for the internal clipboard - should copy to both internal and global clipboard wit...

There is a big difference between quickly selecting vertices that make a face and actual face/edge selection. Real edge/face selection would enable selection possobilities not possibly currently. Examples: This selection is currently impossible to do in Blender. The middle face will be selected if y...

I agree Doogs, this is a huge frustration! Should be able to do this from the OOPS Schematic by selecting the image node and simply deleting it, which would remove the image completely from the file.

Rotating vertices around 3d-cursor makes blender crash! Can anyone confirm please.
Works fine here.

New global hotkey CTR+Z for undo Phew, thanks loads for that one. Suggestion: Turn Global Undo ON by default. ;) PS On a UI related note, how about inserting the Undo commands into the Object menu while in Object Mode? Granted most people will probably guess Ctrl-Z, but still... And, it still displ...
