Good idea, love you hack BTW!

One thing I am really missing in Blender is a way to combine RVKs with bone movement in ONE SLIDER. This sould be very useful for jaw movement for example - rotate the jaw bone and the RVK acts with it.

I've applied a .bvh motion capture animation to an armature, which looked great, but as soon as I applied my mesh things got horribly wrong. The bones follow the right empties, but they are rotated wrongly along their local z axis. Is there a way to solve this? My file is here: http://www.shadeless....

The last two additions are very appropriate. Someone listen!

I like the idea of more hints in the 3D View header, the tab feature is not guessable - it has to be shown.

Sounds nice that you are going to implement! But, why not replace the Material buttons? BTW, for inspiration on node-based material editors, I strongly suggest you download a demo of Softimage XSI, either the 30-day full version or the XSI Experience version. Then follow one or two tutorials and see...

Crafter itself is quite slow, and I don't think it would be easy to integrate, but something along the lines of it would be nice!

A node-based materials system a la Crafter and Softimage XSI is very high on my wishlist for Blender. Preferrably it should work with Blender Internal renderer too.

Er... I think you misunderstood... I don't think VRML2 supports N-gons (though I'm not sure). What I mean was that the file I tried to import didn't have N-gons, so it should be fine, but it doesn't work unfortunately.

Couldn't get it to work with a VRML 2 file created from Wings 3D. No N-gons or anything. Here is the file so you can test: http://www.shadeless.dk/files/shape.wrl It prints this in the console: 2044 2046 2048 2050 2052 2054 2056 2058 2060 2062 2064 2066 2068 (...) dsd dsd dsd dsd dsd dsd dsd (...) I know your what you mean. To string a series of scenes together, go the the Sequence Editor (select '4 - Sequence' from the SCR dropdown), go to Add>>Scene. Then add your scenes after each other as you please. (You can also render each scene out sepperately and go to Add>>Movie, it's the same idea....

Why not just let the Shading dropdown work properly for edit mode? Try it, not all of the modes work for when in edit mode. I'd prefer this way of implementing it.

Sounds like the bump tool in XSI. Through vertex painting you can deform the mesh in different ways. Quite cool, maybe not essential granted.
