Good Ideas

I never thought of that, although i once suggested to guys at Elysiun, on their forums that they needed more tutorials, but they told me they didnt have enough web space. Before i posted this i never thought of offering to help, good idea.

I think the first thing that should be done to help people develop blender is to get the source documented, because of the scale of the blender source it is very overwhelming when you look at it. The existing source code comments might make sense to the original coders but to people who have never b...

Question For Ton

All the work you have put into creating this great piece of software and still people moan. Ah well it cant be helped, some people are born to moan. Anyway on to the point i guess you must sometimes get bored of just looking through the code and improving it and advertising Blender. So what im wonde...

Sorry to ask in this topic, but how do you get the mouse events, ive tried using GLUT's mouse routines which work fine, but it gives the coordinates reletive to the window and not in OpenGL coordinates, ive looked around on the net and have found some code about using opengls select mode or sumthing...

Well i am not a coder and so im not going to nag for this feature to be implemeted into blender, but i think the more features and effects that can blender can handle the better. It might be better to wait until the plugin archetecture has been implemented and then make the cloth effect a plugin. Im...

Source Code

I'm really stuck Wavk, im really sorry to keep asking you about it, but i could please see the code just for creating the interface. Also me and Curador3 are working on a project and we would like to implement your material interface. It would have to be manipulated a bit so that it created textures...

ODE

Still making progress on the GUI, but i might end up beggin WavK to send me some of his code that he used to create 'Crafter' the material editor. Ive downloaded ODE, but i cant compile it in Cygwin, using MSVC or DJGPP, using GNU make. So i am a bit of a dead end as far as looking into ODE. If ther...

More Ideas

Theres one other thing i want to implement into the UI and that is the ability for the User to choose what the UI looks like, in order to this i thought we could use XML scripts to dictate which UI feature goes where and so on. I'll look into reading XML through C++ but i dont expect it to be that d...

Ill start work on some buttons, menus, radio boxs, labels and other GUI elements. Although i dont ahve a strong point because this is all new to me. I'll try and get all the basic elements in one file, then have another file for creating specific things. Do you want me to look into creating a way of...

'Reality Blender' sounds fine to me, at the moment im messing around with GLUT. Which is cross compatable with Linux because all we need to do is tell GLUT to initialize and create a window and it will deal with this for several OS's. Saves me more work :D. We need to mix our work and decide on what...

Good work Curador3 i snet out about 5 e-mails to game programmers about the project and i am awaiting replies. What compiler and OS are you using? I have been using MSVC for creating my tests but im pretty sure that they should work with most compilers.
