SKINS

Me thinks that the ideas above are great, but i also think that before we go making substantial changes to to the UI. It might be worth considering Skins. Wot i mean is, that if someone is going to spend time on the coding side of things they might as well think about implenting skin support.

Blender + Games

Just an  I no that alot of ppl in the community like the blender game engine, and just to clarify something about this post it isnt about that. Has anyone come across a program called Gmax, its made by Discreet and is a 3D graphics program specifically for creating models and levels for games....

Tutorials

I know that there are alot of tutorials available for blender, but i was wondering if on this site or blender3d.com there will be published official tutorials. On the official newtek site for lightwave they have quite good short flash executables that introduce the interface i was thinking maybe som...

Wot would be wrong with Microsoft sponsoring Blender, after all i bet the majority of Blender home users use Windows, as well as maybe having Linux. I agree sort of that Microsoft has made a name for itself by taking advantage of certain companies and throwing its wallet around when they get in trou...

I know that the Nokia sponsor is very significant indeed. I was very surprised (NO Ofense) that such a large and widely known company is supporting Blender.

What actually are Nokia supplying just a little money?

This probably makes me sound really stupid to most of you but im gonna ask anyway. I have a program to edit XML, i believe that the documentation is going to be written in Docbook XML, what does Docbook have to do with XML and how to use its functionality in windows, BTW i have Cooktop (An XML edito...

All this talk of Python is making me mad :x , (Not really). Anyway why is it so hard to image a situatation, like that of fonts in programs like Word and so on. Where you just pick the font you want from a nice list. I dont want the materials and textures to be as simple as this but in the same leag...

I agree that a format needs to be agreed on so that everyone can contribute to it. Maybe every week or so a sort of release of the latest documentation could be made in such formats as PDF and others that need quite time consuming/annoying conversions. I have never heard of DocBook i no what XML is,...

I have to say that i have 'tried' other 3D products in the past to see if there is anything easier to use than Blender. I tried Lightwave and found at the start that all of its buttons put me off because it looked too hard. This is the kind of thing we need to avoid in Blender, now blender is open i...

I've really wanted this feature to be incorporated into Blender, unfortunatly im not a coder so i couldnt do it myself. Have you read the post on elysiun by wavk, he is begining to write an alternative to the current materials and texture editor. If he does then the support in Blender we seek will p...
