Feature request: Proportional vertex influencing

Take a model of a cartoon character. This model is wearig a T-shirt. Assign all the vertex groups to relevant bones. Great. Now lift one arm. The sleeve moves as expected, but it does not tug on the rest of the area around the sleeve, it rather looks like a rubber shirt. Even intricate weight painti...

By saying: Now if only the Python coders had more to work with. Would it not take the pressure off? I mean, if Blender exposed more properties and methods to Python, then coders who are more comfortable with Python than doing the C / compile activities, would more than likely take up the slack and t...

The great Python Debate

I am not sure what the plans for Python in Blender are, I know there is talk about a more seamless approach to python scripting. That would be fantastic. Going through the discussions on this board, I am starting to believe that as the Python API is made more comprehensive, a lot of user requests / ...

I think this situation is a good example of 2 things: 1) There is a lot of functionality in Blender hiding behind the hotkeys. Even scanning the hotkey docs only gives clues. A lot of requests come through for existing functionality. (Alghough Karim's suggestion does go beyond just materials - subsu...

Correct me if I am wrong, the only features missing from Extractor are due to lack in the current Blender Python API. I believe a more comprehensive API would be a far more flexible way of interfacing to raytrace engines. If YAFRAY becomes integrated you will more than likely see continued script de...

Man is that Messiah character really rigged or what? I see the HUD you mention. And I start to understand your concept a bit better. The big question: How much of this is do-able in the current Blender framework? And would anything have to be re-done to get this to work? I am thinking specifically o...
