After like many years of people begging for it, I finally took time to write some guidelines, and add logo downloads;

Snifi: that's not a spec for our interface work. All of the UI is designed to tightly work together with Blender internals, to get the most out of it. Once we're done you can use it the other way around though, configure Blender to be optimized for your ideas on workflow. It's then still Blender tho...

Blender's UI is... eh... going to be better than ever!
To add my humble two cents; The Blender UI communicates badly yes, and has enough issues to work further on. However, there's really a lot of innovative and good design concepts behind it, validated and refined in a day-to-day situation with artists. Most people who get past the learning curve then ...

Thanks for the feedback, we indeed didn't spend much time on the issue, also because there already were design proposals to make functionality of input widgets much more clear. Just following conventions is disputable though; as you already see in replies, such issues immediately can be countered wi...

Hi Eclectiel. Yep, we all (in wintercamp workshop) were very impressed with the quality of the proposals! It's amazing how well you've presented it. :) I liked it how you managed to present a very visual workflow, with the actions specified with drag/drop methods, rather than (local) menus. It solve...

Hi Andrea, OK, seems to me a general node engine to control (or animate) properties, for example for objects. However cool that can be (you can probably get it to work a bit for Objects) it will still entirely bypass Blender's transformations, interactions and animation system (hierarchies, constrai...

Hi, Very interesting! It would help if you can elaborate what a "node engine with some innovative capabilities" would be precisely, is this like XSI's ICE? Blender already has a pretty good node editor builtin, which is extensible for many areas (tests have been done with 3d constraints, and we hope...

Re: Big Seamless World?
Those were the CS engine targets. Very ambitious indeed, at this moment I cannot answer which have been realized, we will have to pay attention to this in our final report.
