it looks like that with the node activated you cannot edit the material in the old system, also material plug ins are missing. looks like that this node system will replace the old system. i dont know if that is the plan, but i am curious about that. the new node system is great but also uses up som...

i am pretty much sure that this is not true for the majority of users,

most people look at the keyboard for finding the keys, maya has the
translation keys next to each other, blender has keys scattered over the
keyboard.

i would say that is impossible with true motion blur. understanding motion blur should give you that answer already. there are many types of motion blur however the post effect motion blur can work fine, but this would only make sense when the camera and scene will not change its position adn geomet...

well as it sounds from openGL side, vista seems not to support opengl that great at the moment. i realy hope that for windows users this will be fixed.
i am just curious about how MS will handle the directX and openGL battle.

hehe finaly blender gets a matrue material system with the node system. nothing new when you work with maya or renderman, but what sweeps me of my feet is that fact that this node editor also will be used for modeling or as far as i understand animation/bones. that to be quite honest is a brilliant ...

wow there is already a patch and it is not included?
is the code bad or why isnt it in 2.4?

distortion free UV with subdivsurf should have a high
priority. can the patch just be applied?

no UV distortion with subdivsurf

hi

how far is it possible to give the subdiv code the option to work with UVs without distoring them?

poly objetcs are easyt o texture but when i turn on subdiv well the UV gets
messed up and a convert to mesh isnt a big option cause tha i have to deal with to many poly faces.

i am glad to see the x eporter. for our virtual reality / game design class we teach the students blitz 3d basic which is quite a powrefull engine and a well working x exporter would help us even more to switch from maya to blender. not every student will have acess to maya after the bfa. and quite ...

did c4d introduce bone envelopes quite some years ago (3 to 4)?

i do not rememeber anymore how it worked but they used it for
full character animations which also includes fingers.
so i am sure they had a solution for the problem.

hey

the particle system develops great! the shaded function with guides are great for making hair. i dont know how far animation will be a task, but for stills it seems to work amazingly fine.

different approach but still great result.
