Hehe that's funny ;) Now you mention it... Hm... the only thing is that the gestures are bound to LMB+DRAG. I found gestures sooo cool when first using Blender. But I can say now I only use them when I'm veeeeeeery lazy and drinking a cup of coffee with my left hand, and even than it's just to dangl...

Hi Caronte, I couldn't play the AVI you provided, unknown codec. But another thing that might help you in the short run is the 'Filter' slider in the texture buttons. Move it up to slightly blur the image. I find other renderers by default produce much to blurred images, maybe because of animation f...

I think Blender's AA is very good after the changes months ago! But if it still doesn't work alright with you, did you try using the Gaussian filter for AA? It's in the render panel in the Scene buttons. Try the highest filter size of 1.5. But things get too blurry for my taste using Gauss.

Another important thing is did you render from command line or from the GUI? Different video drivers/os's can have different drawing speeds. Drawing rendered pixels in the render window might make a big difference.

Check to see if none of the modifier keys are stuck. Press all shift, ctrl and alt keys with some force and afterwards try TAB again. Does that work?

Err did you even watch the video ? See this page for more info http://www.luxology.com/modo/201/ "Click and drag in the uv view until you are happy with the result." Well you certainly cannot see that he's clicking and dragging in that video! And of course I did watch it, several times. But nonethe...

To pick the unwrap that you like? I don't think so, all I think it does is show the unwrapping in progress with a cool animation, useless, time consuming, but cool nonetheless.

Whoops:) It is lose  Hehe in that case thanks! Complexity. I rest my case, Your Honor! Oh no, I dug my own grave! You are right that Blender's structure is different from sketchup, blender has much more options, like edge weight, uv maps and vertex colours. And I agree with you that things ge...

stiv, not fair, you're a cheat! Trying to push your opinion on us with two posts! And on top of that, you make a typo in quoting me!!! Anyway that brings us back to what we think CAD tools are, there are many different types of CAD programs. But anyway, the nurby kind of tools you're t...

I don't see the problem in adding CAD tools. If they fit in right into the interface and workflow, what is there to loose? It's just not on the top of the priority list. Blender is primarily aimed at making beuatiful pictures and animations a fast speeds. I'm doing architectural visualisations with ...

Anyway, THE way to measure a distance between two points is enter editmode, go to the edit buttons and turn on 'draw edge lenght'. Select the two point, duplicate with SHIFT+D and make it an edge with 'f'. Voila, the way to make a measurement. Hope that helps,
