Well, it's no wonder you can not find the interactive console, since it doens't exists. If I recall correctly there might have been attempts to make this but it's not in the official release. You'll have to type your Python code in a text window and run it with alt+p. The output is shown in the dos ...

hi tuga,

I agree completely, it's all in the small things. Architectural modeling involves a lot of repetition and basic, small tools. It's all in the details:D

Some other notes for tuga: I agree on the snapping thing, it would be most valuable. I think it's not far away with all the transformation recodeing lately. About the working space. When you import a dxf drawing into blender, it takes the unit system of the dxf file. Blender works best if that unit ...

Hi tuga, I suggest you take another look at the lamps, all but one type cast shadows. And I was amazed by your post stating that """-RENDERING; The rendering speed on Blender is really slow!; """. Are you serious?! This is the number one reason I use Blender, speed. If your rendering is slow, you mu...

I'm working on such a big scene right now and couldn't agree with you more. My colleagues think it looks cool, but it's most irritating. Sometimes I add a new scene and use the current scene as a set, so I have a clean view. But that doesn't take into account draw types. EDIT: it does take into acco...

Pretty cool. I'm always pleased to see new extensions to the power of Python. This might be of great use on future projects, especially outside Blender. It might be cool to automatically generate templates for VectorWorks, great as a script on the intranet. I've been playing around with PDF generato...

Good to see so many good submissions from the Google summer, it turns out to be a very good initiative. I saw the fluid video's, I'm amazed, it's VERY good. I can picture myself playing with it forever. I'm particularly interested in the PyTexture project. I can agree with the whole thinking behind ...

Feature request about rendertime scriptlinks.

I really like the new before/after render script link thingy. It would be very useful if rendertime script links would also run when rendering from the command line. I bumped into this restriction while writing and testing a render farm. I'm pretty sure my scripts don't get executed. But I may have ...

Shocking news indeed. Well, shocking, I'm not shocked easily after the takeover of Macromedia by Adobe. OSX on Dell's and perhaps even Windows on Powerbooks. I don't know what's most disturbing. I guess microsoft will get some serious competition, but Microsoft probably owns Apple anyway. On the big...

I put my bets on VRML. I just exported a model to 3d studio this morning and got the best results with VRML. dxf messes up. VRML seems to keep materials and maybe even uv maps. 3d studio's import of VRML is pretty good.

Hi William, that's ORCO mapping you're talking about. I never quite understood that one either, thanks for explaining :D But... I should have mentioned, but I'm talking about global mapping. Global coordinates should change in my opinion. Regarding the reversed scaling you refer to, think of it as r...
