You most likely don't have OpenAL installed. Get the runtime libraries from http://developer.creative.com/scripts/D ... .asp?opt=2

I'm sorry for forgetting to mentioning this in my original post.

New Mac OS X version of desaster's cvs blender

Download it from http://blender.dragonlight.fi/files/binaries/blender-mac-osx-2002-12-28.tar.gz This version features quicktime import (thanks to phase), which probably is quite buggy (thanks to me) other noteworthy features see http://blender.dragonlight.fi/ for general info about desaster's cvs sg...

Actually, makesdna doesn't need "-lGLU -lGL -lm -ljpeg -lpng -lcrypto -lssl -lpthread -ldl -lstdc++ -lz". Somehow autoconf put those there....
Could you edit $builddir/source/blender/makesdna/intern/Makefile and remove any references to them and see if it compiles?

starting with version 2.25, blender supports loading from and saving to png images (if you're using the NaN version, you might need to install the license key available in the downloads section)

knoxer: blender uses OpenAL for in-game sound (this doesn't quite work on Mac OS X yet, though)

VelikM: You would only need the OpenAL SDK if you compile blender from desaster's cvs. The cvs01 version apparently uses fmod.

I once wrote a python script that parses MIDI files and generates ipo curves from the data. This one looks like a more sophisticated version of the same idea. Maybe I'll revive the project once a new Python API has been agreed on (and I'm bored enough :)).

i get this error, what is wrong????

File "<string>", line 140
wrlexport = VrmlExport("str(Blender.Get("Curframe"))+ "test.wrl")
^
The " before str seems to be misplaced. Try removing it.

OT: WM_CLASS

P.S. Coincidentally, the absence of such a structure in the GHOST source is what causes blender 2.25 not to register it's WM_CLASS and as a result screws up full screen on several UNIX window managers (I'll try to fix it if I ever get blender compiled). this ugly piece of code should set the WM_CLA...

Select all vertices in editmode and press ctrl+t to triangulate your object. No need for python.

hope this helps,
