Okay, I do finally agree on the consensus of having only screenshots from the standard blender-installation (without customization) on the most exposed pages of b3d.org.
But only the argument from dcuny "[...] the first thing I wonder is if I've grabbed the right version." has convinced me :|

phew,... I hate whippersnapping but I obviously have no choice... I don't think this discussion will change the world Indeed it will not :) Au contraire. There are obviously several fundamental and widespread misunderstandings respectively smattering that leads to attitudes which are very disadvanta...

When the RIB integration comes (IF it ever comes) I seriously doub that it will become even as remotely popular as Yafray. I wouldn't bet on this if I were you. The average Blender user has no coding expertice, nor desire to get it.. and learning to shade for Renderman requieres you to learn a whol...

Small addition: Features like this haven't been implemented accidentially . Ask yourself why things have been designed like they are. Blender has grown mature by repeatedly being readjusted in production. This is almost the same as shaping a car body in a wind tunnel - and therefore the most effecti...

If users wanted to add objects aligned to the viewport, this could of course be an option. Yes. Users want to add viewport aligned objects! At least I want! Please don't again (not you personally, Mal) discredit such a very valuable feature. If I want to add an object to my "table top" it's only on...

There's a sort function for faces, but I don't remember the hotkey.

Ahhh, thanks a lot.
So hashing/shuffling doesn't work for faces?
Is there a possibility to access the face index via python?

bfvietnam: puh! that's very abstract....

intrr: The other thing I wanted to mention is that obviously the X-Sorting and the Hashing of Vertices doesn't work. At least there is no change in the build-effect. Am I missing something?

Well, it definately depends on how tight the schedule of a project is. I've already been requesting a proposal from the guys from renderplanet for doing a 6.000 frames PAL @ 7,5 minutes p. Frame and I think it was fair priced. The thing was that I've been stuck on the renderd-/renderdemon software w...

Hi, some questions:
This can be caused by video codecs.
What output options (Image Format or Video Codec?) have you selected?

I liked the instinctive-N-panel a lot. Until I dragged the divider (default setup) to the middle of the screen to get access to the IPO window. The N-panel was moved along with the resizing of the viewports. BUT when I dragged back the divider to the max right the N-panel stayed in its position so t...

Why do you think CMYK, Pentone ICC are not present? -->prone to PATENTS Sorry, off topic, but there are again two different issues mixed up. The patent issue only related to the concept of color matching in general (US-Patent No. 4,500,919) and therefore only affects color calibration e.g. using IC...
