Yes you should becuase its based on 2.25 I believe. Its should be a great started with some nice tips to game creation no matter if you using the game engine or not.
Again if you never really developed game before then this would be a nice choice ^_^ plus a lot of nice examples

I am working no a few projects some really important and i am using blender. Blender crashes when I select something, when I render something, when I open something and anyfile that has not been saved in 2.3 will crash when I select something. I mean saved as in a later version. But this only happen...

Blender is not designed for CAD production.... Although Defining Angle and lengths are doable in blender they take more time then what a CAD modeler would be able to produce..... My best help would to use the N-key and have a calculator in hand to calculate the length between two vertices and etc......

The Alpha is not the problem.... This is what you call "z-buffer fighting" this can be fix a lot easier if ketsji did not render in 3 modes: Primative->render Primative Extended->render (there something that make the recalculations of normals) 3D Primative->render if you notice thre isn't object ren...
