Soc project: Booleans -- win/linux (2005/09/09)

Here are some updated builds of Marc Freixas' boolean project for summer of code. Some bugs were addressed. The previous thread about this work is here: http://www.blender.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6872 Instructions: Select two mesh objects and press 'w' as always. Output has less points, less bad g...

Soc project: Booleans -- win/linux (2005/08/31)

Here are some executables of Marc Freixas' boolean project for summer of code. Select two mesh objects and press 'w' as always. Output has less points, less bad geometry, and uses quads too. http://bebop.cns.ualberta.ca/~cwant/blender-booleans-linux-2005-08-31.tar.gz http://bebop.cns.ualberta.ca/~cw...

Scientific Visualization: VTK inside Blender

Hi folks, I wrote a python module so that the Python wrappers of the scientific visualization library VTK can be run inside of Blender, with data being passed between both pieces of software. Here is a page with the module, some documentation, and some examples: http://www.ualberta.ca/CNS/RESEARCH/V...

well you could do a batch tell blender to run the script in all the blend file of a rep. this script could contain something like render or anim. Hi Gabio, Thanks for the advice ... I can't say I understand what you are trying to tell me though. Would you have a more step-by-step description of wha...

-P examples?

HI all, I'm interested in playing with the new -P batch mode option. I haven't used python in blender for so long that, at this point, I would learn better by example than I would by reading the API spec. I was wondering if there were any good example scripts for running in batch mode that do things...

RVK's use the action window, but they don't really use actions at all ... they just reuse the interface of the action window. Deleting a 'channel' really means deleting an ipo curve. Go to the IPO window, select 'Vertex' for type, then select and delete some horizontal lines until you delete the rig...

None of the stuff will matter if you don't learn C first
-- get the Kernighan & Ritchie book, then later get
books on more specialized topics.

This one runs on my IRIX 6.5.16f Octane! Well, what's the difference? Did you build this? How? I rebuilt the python lib to use it's own snprintf stuff instead of a system one The autoconf for python would detect the snprintf stuff in /usr/lib32/libc.so on my 6.5.20f system and attempt to use that f...

Is there no possibility to get blender running on pre 6.5.[12]x machines? I cannot upgrade above 6.5.16 because I have no software service for my machine. And I am sure there are some blender fans out there on, well, let's say not so new machines running some (old) 6.5.x IRIX. And another thing: sh...

I looked into this briefly a while ago., as I thought it would be neat to use layers to separate various parts of the rendering process so that they can be tweaked and recombined later (e.g., tweak spec for an object or shadow color without re-rendering). The documentation for xcf was poor (read non...

bf-blender irix mips3 python 2.3 (2004/04/27)

Please give this a try (or else you may be stuck with a potentially broken blender 2.33): http://bebop.cns.ualberta.ca/~cwant/blender-irix-mips3-python23.gz I should point out that blender 2.33 for irix will not have the gamengine enabled due to the fact that solid does not compile with the mipspro ...

I think you are in the wrong directory: you should
be typing make in the 'blender' directory, not in the
'blender/source' directory.
