I have to get on track too with all of the new releases. I just get so comfortable in one version that I don't want to switch work over to an update. But lately I have been missing out on so many features I don't have an excuse. Hehehe. I have to get in "Gear", in more ways than one or another. Hehe...

Which Version Do You Use The Most?

Some recent misconceptions about features in Blender made me wonder what version or versions releases that other Blender users favor using. I use Blender Publisher frequently still for much of my Blender work. I had previously used version 2.23 exclusively for scripts like the OBJ script because it ...

You can do that already. When parenting the mesh to the armature, choose the "Name Groups" option. Then you just have to select the vertice, select the group, set wheight to whatever you want and press Assign. Martin Thanks Martin. I have to stop using Blender Publisher so much. I would have known ...

Skinning and Riggin

I'm setting up my characters and laboring though each process of naming bones and assigning bones to vertex groups. Then I wondered, what if once you setup and named all your bones you could see all of your bones names that are available in the editmode groups and just select your vertex groups and ...

Ok,ok, Blender heads. Heres the deal with the new Radiosity features: 1- setup your scene as such- The object that will emit light to all of the other objects (the light source)does not need to be subdivided in edit mode. For each object that will recieve light enter editmode and subdivide your mesh...

I haven't really made use of Blender radiosity tools in my work. And now with the new radiosity engine I am attracted to the Fast GI solution and want to add it to my style of 3d rendering in Blender. Ok. As far as the rendered radiosity, can the effect be blended onto the object with materials and ...

Blender is the best 3d app that I have ever used. It's compact yet powerful, stable, fast and it's future is not determined by a marketing department. That's the best thing about Blender, any Blender user can improve it's use by coding new features for it, beta testing the proposed features of other...
