Feature Idea:Snap vertexes to Spline Curve
I was thinking up some more ideas along the lines of the features that we already have in Blender. I was using the Curve Deform feature and wondered if this concept could be used in other interactive ways in Edit mode to help us to quickly conform selected groups of vertexes or a "patch" of vertexes...

I could swear this button wasn't there until you've said it. :D With HT I've redered a frame in 1:48 without in 2:13 it's a littel faster but it's faster :) Not too bad. I'm curious if it will give a true proportional speedup on a SMP machine. I guess that would depend on the number of threads laun...

I was trying to get the new cvs to build with Cygwin the other day. My install of Cygwin needed to be updated but the install keeps crashing in Windows 2k. So I wanted to try out Scons. I haven't been able to get Scons to run at the Windows command prompt or the Python command prompt. Anyway, Until ...

I don't see the Tuhopuu interactive edgeloop cutting features anymore. I only use Tuhopuu for my character modeling and modeling details with the interactive loop cutting features. I must be able to rotate my models while I cut details across the mesh faces. Well, I hope to see these features back i...

Although kindda out of topic, JA-forreal, you can install linux on your system without touching one bit of your hard drive by simply installing a slave hard drive. They are quite affordable nowadays. Then simply tell lilo or grub to look for the Windows on one drive and linux on the other. Even eas...

Re: not questioning the art, but the tools to make the art.
Well I understand the "artist" point , I am one, I'm also a programmer.. I know enough about 3D packages to recount the history of 3D graphics, attend SIGGRAPH four times. Anyhow.. What I'm saying is, is this so untoucheable that you have to use 3DsMax or Maya to do, or is it the capability of the ...

I looked in the build for the Zbuffer clipped selection Icon in the header but I don't see it. It's not there yet. That's why I've been pushing for a new build. Hopefully, Gabio will find time to make one. Just compiled it. You just click the little grey box and wow hidden vertices! You will love i...

Ton and the other magnificent coders are rolling out the good stuff. I have been so busy with my web work that I haven't had the time to checkout this build. One feature that interests me is the "Zbuffer clipped selection" option. I looked in the build for the Zbuffer clipped selection Icon in the h...

Playing with the new Hooks
As I play with the new hooks features I am wondering if it would be possible for theses hooks to have controllers attached to them. For example maybe these controllers could have behaviors like roll x/y/z, scale x/y/z, move x/y/z, lock x/y/z etc. Then these behaviors could be activated at a certain ...
