Ja-Forreal: Thanks for the positive remarks. Oh well, I really just added the cloth simulation as a stupid experiment... It started out with the "Field" effect because I found metaballs too limiting concerning shapes, so I wanted to be able to use any mesh with meta-like effects. The cloth stuff I ...

I have a sketchy recollection on cloth simulation in other 3d apps that I have played with. I'm testing out this new feature. So far I have run basic cloth drops and drapes on object test. This cloth simulation feature has been very stable and fast during my test. You guys have done a superb job wit...

I'm with you guys on the seams issue. But the only way that I have found to really deal with uv seams on a 3d object is to place them in a place where they are not clearly seen or fit into the detail order of the texture pattern. I did another test with the LSCM feature and placed the seams on the b...

EDIT: What is the Pin feature for? BTW Relax is still uber cool, would like to see that in BF too. How do you get Relax to work in Tuhopuu? When I apply it I see no change in the uv's. I tried selecting the whole set of uv's and then parts but nothing happens. In the other 3d mapping apps that I ha...

Oh man! It works! I just tested it out by selecting some uv faces that are below the surface of a group of faces. It just spread the faces and flattened them perfectly. Now I understand that we will soon be able to just spread out the uv skin map of an entire object using seam selection etc. This is...

I was reading some information about how Deep Paint's Texture Weapons tool handles poles to limit distortion in uv mapping subdivision surfaces. I have issues with 3d Painting apps as they do not solve all complex uv mapping problems. I have just settled on modeling details into a mesh and just text...

Any Blender developments for subdivision and uv coordinates?

I was wondering if there were any new Blender developments in the area of subdivision and uv coordinates? I have gotten used to converting a Sub-d to a higher poly mesh that matches the Sub-d level and mapping the high poly version. Adding uv maps to Sub-d's would be easier if we didn't have to do t...

I really enjoy the flow of your modeling technique. This is a great tutorial. But I would like to stress that this type of modeling pattern can complimented with a good understanding of how muscle and body joints move and respond to stretching and flexing. It is important to model a great looking 3d...
