Yes, that is true. You are creating 2 new faces and deleting the old edge. if the original 2 faces were laid out (in the uv map) along the original edge, you should be able to preserve uv mapping, by shifting the mapping across the 2 new faces, but if they were mapped apart then you would be out of ...

==================================================== ESC stops rendering: this is ok, but the render screen disappears. Most of times I abort rendering because I see the part of the image that I testing. So I want to see the picture, but the screen closed. Screen must be open, and when I press ESC a...

Yes, perhaps we could have a page of C / C++ tutorial links that are just language learning links. Also some lists of good books for learning C / C++ might also be helpful (I am a big book learner myself).

There are a couple of types of documents that could go here some of which we want to do and others which are not so helpful. 1. Basic coding (i.e. "how to program C") I dont think we want any of these. 2. How I did it tutorials. For 'one time' features. That will not be replicated (i.e. Eeslho and T...

The only one I did was for FTGL and that took care of the problem for me.

the error() error? You need to go to FTGL library and take the implementation of the error() function out of the header file and put it in the cpp file. Then recompile FTGL

Theeth, check it out in bf cvs and see what you think. Changing the name and activation key is simple enough. It is in there currently as

(p)roportional [on|off]

if the concesus is something different, it is no skin off my teeth and hopefully no skin off my theeth as well. :-o

yes, Since it is just an option on loopcut, it really doesn't need much of a name. I have no beefs in changing it.

The header could initially read (P)roportional Mode and when you press p it could read Non-(P)roportional Mode rather than Inset Mode.

How would that be?

New addtion to loopcut tool in T2

There is a new option for the loopcut tool called inset in Tuhopuu2. Here is some info about it. This is a mini-tute http://www.gvc.net/~jmatthews/blender/inset/ Please give me feedback!!! I posted this over at elysiun as well, but I figured the readership of the two forums is different enough to 2x...

Leon, I have not looked at the particle code at all, but how hard would it be to add a recalc progress bar? Also the capability to kill a recalc. So if you choose some settings that are going to take an hour to calc and really don't want to do it right now you could kill the recalc. What do you think?
