Ok, by making transform() return a short (1 for not cancelled and 0 for cancelled) instead of void, extrude_mesh() can now check if the transform was completed or not. If it was completed, I just popped the 'extrude' step from the history. Otherwise the new points are placed in their new positions a...

One possible solution to the canceling of extrude would be this Press E --Code Pushes Undo Mesh --Code Creates 2nd Set of Points --Code Calls Grab User Moves verts around If User Cancels Grab --Code Pops the Undo Mesh and mesh is back to before E If User Confirms Grab position --Verts are placed and...

I have temporarily taken out the B 3 times for vertloop. It is still in the K menu, but I have to work out a bug with the B rotation before I commit that back again, sorry :(

Ah, no, sorry, I was too vague....

I am coding a tool for Blender. I would like to write text in the 3d window while the user is using this tool.

Like when select an object, it's name is displayed in the lower left hand corner of the 3d window. I want to do something like that in the C code.

Very nice theeth. I did a bunch of CAD stuff back in highschool (course that was 10 years ago :) ) I should dig out my old cad software and see if it still runs on my computer to get feature ideas! I can't remember off hand but it my in fact be cadkey. BTW should new features in featurelist.txt go a...

select your two ring loops that are to be connected, press ctrl-shift-f. You will get a line from one of the verts. click on the corresponding vert of the other ring. You will get a 2nd line, again connect it to the other side, the rest of the loop will autofill.Goofster is still working out some bu...

Yeah, I'm actually a C++ guy, but I do C as well. I learned python in order to do extractor. So these proposals are actually to get feedback so that I can implement them. I am about 1/2 way done with the implementation of the face weld/connect tool already. From there I will probably jump to the n-g...

ngon weld/connect prop. (Turned into Arch. Vis. Discussion)

Here is a proposal for a tool based off the face weld/connect tool from my other thread. It is not meant to replace the face weld/connect tool, because it will not 'hollow out' the inner faces like the face weld/connect. This is mearly meant to allow for the connection of an ordered set of edges to ...

I agree, an n-gon tool would be very nice. If all goes well with this face weld/connect tool, perhaps it can be a jumping off point for something more powerful. But alas, I think I'm gonna start simple :)

Ah, this is not for bridging 2 edge loops. This is strictly for either merging or connecting 2 faces, and after a little info from theeth and friends, I have enough info to get rid of 2 of the edge selects, and make it so you onlyhave to select one pair of edges to line up. So, I will update the pro...
