Now trying Tuhopuu2 with scons; target error.

I successfully downloaded the tuhopuu2 module from CVS. It's at the same level as the bf-blender build so the libraries will work for either. When I go through the same procedure (set the compiler variables, cd to d:\blender\tuhopuu2, and type scons) it results in the following messages: scons: Read...

OK, figured it out. Using tuhopuu2 instead of tuhopuu as the module name worked.

It works! Thanks for the tip.

Is there any reason that blender.exe isn't placed into the bin directory by default with the scons build? Just another step to make things more straightforward for new users.

Thanks,

Eliot

Thanks! It just compiled and generated a blender.exe in the blender directory. I tried executing it, only to get the following error: blender.exe - Unable to Locate Component This application has failed to start because SDL.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem. I che...

tuhopuu and bf-blender trees under WinCVS?

I used WinCVS to check out the CVS tree for Blender and the associated libraries. I would also like to download the current tuhopuu tree from the CVS server. (I see references to both tuhopuu and tuhopuu2; what is the difference and which one should I be using?) I would prefer to have the bf-blender...

Is there anything I can do for now to get this compiling? I don't need the gameengine. I tried modifying SConstruct under elif sys.platform == 'win32': I set use_gameengine = 'false' and saved the file. I then typed scons --clean to clean everything, and scons to rebuild the whole thing. It still cr...

Interestingly enough, there is an iostream.h file in my old Visual Studio 6 installation, in the Include directory.

In C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003\Vc7\include, there is an iostream file, but there is no .h appendix. Opening the file lists the following contents: // iostream standard header for Microsoft #pragma once #ifndef _IOSTREAM_ #define _IOSTREAM_ #include <istream> #pragma pack(push,...

bf-blender, scons, VC2003 missing iostream.h

As above, I'm compiling bf-blender. I checked out the current CVS and the supporting libraries. I installed Python 2.2.3, scons 0.95 beta, and the Quicktime SDK in the proper places. I started the command line window using the Visual C++ 2003 paths to orient the compiler properly. The Scons build ma...

Which SCONS?

Do you need the full SCONS package, or can you use the scons-local package on the download page?

Hi theeth,

Is anyone working on revising the subsurface code? It would be interesting to hear what they have to say about when this might work.

Hi YaY, There were many opinions expressed, but that is to be expected. What I was waiting for was the php web board you mentioned in your earlier post. A central 'meeting ground' is key for this sort of thing. I looked at the sourcesupport.org site and it looked like a reasonable pool based templat...

Location of bounty board?

Did some sort of 'bounty board' where prizes could be offered ever go up? It would be interesting to see what the requests were . .

I really like this. If people want a feature really badly, they can ante up and everyone benefits.
