There is a way to import images and video into blender and work with them.In newer versions of blender like in 2.59, you can straight away import images as textured planes. This can be done by enabling the addon from the user preference editor. If you mean to say that you want images to be imported i...

If you press the render animation button., the render output goes to c:/tmp directory. If you open it up, you will find all .png format images instead of animation. In order to render animation properly, first of all you need to set the output format to aviraw or mpeg or some thing like that.Just abo...

I guess thats the very concept of virtual memory.
On low memory systems, you can virtually assign hard disk space as memory to run memory cruncher programs. It can be done on Windows systems, I donno much about linux systems(although I use them).

I understood a little of your problem here. You have a curve and an object. You deformed the object along the curve via modifier. If you toggle the modifier, your object seems to be jumping from one point to other. Its very normal. If you want them to align properly, you should start with object jus...

If you are asking for textured shading of the view port, press alt+z keys.
Or to the right of view mode tab you can find a small tab with a sphere. From here you can toggle the viewport rendering mode. Also you may not get complete good result unless you have a good G card.
