The basic tendancy of people is to go with what they know. The actual functionality of an app is often irrelevant, and the movie industry can hardly be considered clever, or efficient for the most part. People are thick, and unwilling to change. This is why we are still burning fossil fuels in our a...

jms, do you per chance have a copy of pov2rib, or know of any convertors that will read pov3.1 (.POB)? or anyone for that matter? I have searched high and low, and found nada. Pov2Rib seems to no longer exsist, and 3D23D requires a particular 40mb OS to even run. I just want to use their tree maker....

If this is the case, then it should be fixed soon, because it appears as if more and more people are using this forum lately. I have never seen posts sink to the bottom of the pile quite so fast as they do since the release of 2.31. It would be a shame if all those thoughts and knowledge were lost.

I've always thought it would be cool to have a couple more primatives. Things that would be fun to animate for those who have not yet developed their modelling skills. A bird perhaps. (Sounds like a contest -nudge nudge-winkwink)

I've seen some amazing things in Tuhopuu. Meta-Shapes, among them. And there is the real time radiosity render Blender. Blender is highly compatible with Yafray, a ray tracer. I am curious to see what the next version will bring. Frankly I see no reason not to use Blender. It's simply a good piece o...

Howdy. You really should try ElYsiun. You will get all the advice you can handle there, and crits too. Also there is a wealth of information to be found simply by paging through previous posts, particularly in the 'Blender General' subforum. Hope to see you there. BTW, I am also a musician, and have...

A real funny

Hi guys, I realize this is not exactly the place for Blender art, but this popped up at ElYsiun earlier, and I thought you all might get a kick out of it.

Elysiun Down?

Horrors, it would appear that ElYsiun is down. I stopped by here to see if it was perhaps a server reboot, but nothing doing. :( Best of luck <<EDIT>>
Never mind, guys, it would appear it was only temporary. :)
