go into wireframe draw mode

go into the top view [without perspective]

hit the home key

make sure all layers are visible

try selecting/deselecting all

... if you can't find it there, does it show up in the outliner?

my meshes had the same origin, and rotation [none] so I could assume the local coordinates of the verticies was the same in two different meshes so I just went through and found verticies in two meshes that were within some margin [comparing manhattan distance or distance squared... wouldn't really ...

why do you need seperate meshes that fit together seamlessly? what you need is the normals of the edge vertices not to be changed when you split the meshes. perhaps you're running a 32 bit build of blender?

have you tried setting PYTHONPATH before starting blender?

unless things have changed [again] there isn't support for any current realtime dynamic shadowing technique. You can only ask shadow planes [blob shadows] to be put below your character parallel the whatever their above... These aren't even projective blob shadows, if your character is on uneven gro...
