meh

Clarification: I only used Maya for such a short time mostly because I was about to leave. I was able to find information on moving around the 3d view, and some simple scaling, but I did not have enough time to do more. From what I know of Maya I have no reason to dislike it other than it requires a...

meh, my opinion

Before I begin I have had experience with Zmodeler (got annoying quick, blender is better), and I have had about 12 minutes playing with maya (needless to say I didn't learn much. Imagine a 600 faced car, and a 12 faced (trianglear) rectangular prisim, the user will probably not be able to ...

The different licenses

The code is GPL/blender-license, how is it determined which one applies? must the developers not remove the blend-license block for it not to be possible to sell the code, and if they did the code is then just GPL? -- if that didn't make sense -- how will the different licenses be seperated? Is the ...

What is wrong, and what should stay?

I would imagine that most of you know that many people complain about the user-interface of blender (if you don't, search for blender on slashdot), but what is really wrong with it, and what would be the best method to improve it? Personally I think it is good, once learned, and it needs better docu...
