1) that window will always come up with blender. the "nvidia control panel", "catalyst control center" or under display properties, on the settings tab, hit the advanced button.

if your card is somewhat old [or not an nvidia or ati] you might not have that option and may be having other issues with blender.

again, what graphics card do you have?

you need to look for tutorials for the game engine. Logic bricks are in the logic buttons [f4].

Yes, while the game engine is running the rest of the blender interface is unusuable.

what graphics card do you have?
what operating system?

does it have antialiasing set to "always 4x" or simlar instead of "application prefernce" or "off"?

python scripts for the game engine cannot be run in that way, they must be run using a python controller in the logic brick buttons while the game engine is running.

yeah, you can make the window layout however you like
[not blender window, but windows inside of blender]

[but to go across several displays you'd have a single blender window, with the windows inside of blender configured to work with your display setup]

yes, it will blender on windows vista be working, not not. [blender 2.4 and python 2.4 install/run fine on vista RC2. I'm told that blender also runs fine on the RTM [which I don't have to play with] version with an nvidia card. I don't know about blender 2.5 or python 2.5, I haven't tried. Windows ...

also, merely compiling blender would take advantage of none of the additional "cores"... I would probably be a lot of work to rewrite parts of blender to be optimized to run on that architecture.

the blender module only exists inside of blender, open your script in a text window [or paste into it with control+shift+v] and run it inside of blender with alt+P

[that and the blender module doesn't exist in the game engine in some versions]
