Re: plane with feathered edges?
I am attempting to replace a wall sign with an updated version with my client's new logo. I have a plane with a texture of the wall to act as the wall surface and cover up the old sign in the live-action footage. I'm having some trouble making my plane blend into the live-action wall. I think I can...

If you are going to export the model into another program why did you import it into Blender in the first place? Why not import the MakeHuman model directly into the "other program"? To awnser your question: The best solution (non-particle solution that is) is to UV-map layers of polygon planes over...

Its a setting in you preferences, not a hotkey. You can increase your "save version" numbers, default is 1 I believe. By increasing the "save version" number Blender basicly moves the second last saved version down the line. So your most recently saved version wil have the normal filename and extens...

Feature Request: Camera display options
I'd like to see more display option in the camera panel (see MockUp ) These options would be: - Show Camera Center - Show Grid (the divisions X and Y can be set) - Show Diagonals This would make it a lot easier to apply the "Rule of Thirds" or the "Golden Section" , getting a good composition would ...

I tested the 3DS importer on my system and it works fine. Models import fine so do basic material settings and UV coordinates. Chances are that animation is not supported by Blender's importer, personally I didn't know .3DS supported animation. If you plan to use Blender in your pipeline with 3D Max...

The closest would be to model your reference setup first in a seperate .blend in one layer, and then link to that .blend from your main .blend (not append, but link). Linked objects cannot be edited (transformed, etc.) /Nathan There is a difference in Maya between a referenced object (external libr...

From my experience with exporting .obj is the most reliable format, I've never had any issues with it. When it comes to animation I'm afraid you are out of luck, there are not many file formats that support animation. Unfortunately Blender only has an .FBX exporter but not an importer. P.S. Make sur...
