so thank you env for giving bump to this post.

i've recently written a message to "piotrekk" that is the guy who developped zutils script asking if them can be used to obtain nice MB or DOF effects.
i'm still waiting for those really missed features.

i wish some randomizer for the wind to and also for gravity if it is possible, maybe it could be a texture as already suggested or a value in the softbody panel

my vote to rotation 0

rotation 1 is sexy but a little bit less "friendly"

rotation 3 "mixed mode" isn so good as others.

wooops i've done a mistake. the strange effect is with "ctrl" not with "shift". on a cube , in front view, press Skey and MMB, if you move your mouse you have this effect: if you move the mouse up and down you scale along the Z axis, if you move the mouse right and left you scale along X axis. using ctrl and shif while i'm transforming works in a strange way, imho.

whit the old tranform you had snap to the grid (ctrl) and accurate snap (shift).

now shift seem to change the transform axis.
but how to use accurate snap, now?
