i havent used imovie in a few years.... but afaik imovie is a bit of a bitch about importing files. you preaty much have to export from blender using the quicktime DV codec or the apple HDV intermediate codec if you are doing HD. though things might have changed sence i used it last.

afaik you cannot use a mocap suit directly in blender, but i think most motion capture suits require you to use their own software. you can export to a BVH file, and blender can import that though.

the problem is you have two copies of the object in the same position which are causeing cliping. just delete one of them

you could try striping it
its as easy as:

strip blender.exe

im makes it a bit smaller, and apparently a bit faster.

F12 only renders a still image, and pressing A will show the alpha channel of the rendered image. to render an animation you have to press the ANIM button in there render window.
