thanks for attempting to give us a new custom build. Unfortunately, your dowload speeds are truly abysmal, at the 2.2kbs / sec speeds I was getting, it would have taken an hour and a half to download. Cheers. I once had similar errors on my debian system caused by a wrong version of a package called binutils. Contents of package: addr2line, ar, as, c++filt,gprof, ld (!), nm, objcopy, objdump,ranlib, readelf, size,strings,strip. Maybe your ld doesn't like your gcc.

Thanks kidb. Unluckily, it won't run and complains that I don't have libHalf.so.2. But I checked my /usr/lib and I do have it. I even tried re-installing the OpenEXR libs, and it still gives me the same error. Very confusing... I'm using Gentoo 64-bit. Would that be the cause of the problem, perhap...
