Short answer is don't use UNC paths. There is/was a Windows command to mount/redirect the UNC path to a drive letter.

The issue with UNC paths is that Blender has been using // as a local directory reference since Day One. I *believe* someone is working on the problem.

Any idea, why blender cant import this?

Probably because something is wrong somewhere. If you can provide us with an error message, we can offer more detailed advice.

Python uses indentation to delimit control structures. Useful hints: don't mix spaces and tabs, and use a Python-aware text editor.

To fix your problem, make sure the indentation of your write statement( the error line) matches the indentation of the previous line.

Drawing performance basically depends on your graphics card & driver - specifically how well they do OpenGL.

I can certainly understand your reluctance to upgrade. The basic problem here is that no one willing to do builds has OSX 10.5 anymore. Possible solutions: * Find an OSX 10.5 build on graphicall.org . * Roll your own. Obviously more complicated. Likely you will need to build some of your own librari...

There is a mailing list devoted to Blender Wiki work:

You might want to ask there.

There are presets for a number of cameras

Important data items are sensor size and focal length

I know camera images usually have EXIF data about exposure and such. Don't know about video.

If I read this right, you are upset that adding a constraint to, for example, keep a certain axis pointed at another object makes your object move or rotate. Is that correct?

You can get any version of Blender that your heart desires off the download page. Look for the Older versions link.

A numpad is handy (can't imagine not having one), but you can always use the menus.

Basically, you want a card that does OpenGL well. Note that 'card' means video card + driver. Historically, nVidia cards have done better with Blender than ATi/AMD, although that may be changing. You can find OpenGL benchmarks on the web. Even a low-end card can do well. More money gets you faster m...

Nothing outside of Clip Start and Clip End will be displayed. That is the meaning of clipping planes. they mark the front and back of the viewing frustrum - all the stuff visible in your scene.

You want Clip Start and Clip End to closely bracket your scene.
