Tested, just to be sure: unified renderer has no impact on that effect!

Strange raytracing problem:

Image

Both parts of the cube have the same material applied to them. Any ideas on what's going on here?

Without particles, there's no difference, although particles are not reflected?!

Hi wwwill, first: it's not nice to post in a forum only to link to another one where you posted a question! Then this site is dedicated to Blender development (yes, it's not as clear as it should be). For other things there's the user community site http://www.elYsiun.com. They have a section dedica...

Thank you very much, kino!

It works. On my Gentoo everything is compiled with -march=athlon and -O2. There were no problems with previous preview builds (various, including tuhopuu).

Thanks, but I have an Athlon (not XP). Still the same problem. What else could it be besides processor optimization?

Maybe I will try to compile form CVS on the weekend.

Speed of development is incredible! And many thanks for all the work and releasing previews. But sadly trying to execute the Linux build results in a window flashing followed by the error message: Illegal instruction No such problem with the previous raytrace preview (where I was only to dumb to mak...

I think the three-mouse setups sounds good. This could be the names: "Traditional" (like the proposal), "Classic" (How it used to be) and "Tablet" (same as traditional but with gestures instead of selection box. You would be able to use the old Bkey as always to call boundbox selection.) "Tradition...

I was refering to the proposal to use CTRL-LMB for gestures. That would be silly, because it would take all use out of gestures. To me, it sounded like dissing the whole mousebutton proposal because of one part of it. That's why I stepped in. Now that it's clarified, no problem :-) And I agree abou...

You propose to use CTRL-dragLMB for gestures. (...) So your proposal does not make any sense at all. Hey, that's a bit harsh, I think. The proposal doesn't make much sense for tablet usage! That changes nothing about that LMB should be used for selection and RMB for context menu (because switching ...

xand,
I know how it works, but I don't know why one would want to align the axis of one object with that of another.

Seems to happen with Konqueror too, I don't think it's a browser problem.
