BTW, that's another reason to change the /tmp/ directory to %TEMP%:
at the moment, a user doing some filthy bouncing boobs modeling with the new softbody functions doesn't have privacy, as others can see his work in the C:\tmp directory. (If he forgot to change the Blender settings). :D

Ah didn't know that. If the temp directory is changed to what you suggest ('C:\Documents and Settings\<current user>\Local Settings\Temp\') will Blender have permission to read it? That's what I use and I never had any permissions problem. That's a good point, actually. If during install, the Blend...

2.I believe they should be same, but the 3 "make edge/face" functions different: choose 5 vertices of a cube, the "make edge/face" keeps silence, the "edges-make edge/face", "faces-make edge/face" and FKey popup FGon menu. Good point: 3D View > Mesh menu > Make Egde/Face is broken, you cannot creat...

Log: Join triangles to quads (alt+j) tool didnt set face selection flags. It still does not work when creating a new face (fkey) in edit mode: the new face is not selected. Same with new edges. *edit* Also, suggestion: pressing F with two adjacent triangle-faces selected should either do a ALT-J or...

I noticed a missing key in the Hotkey reference script:

Shift-F in object mode, in camera view (numpad 0): starts the "Fly Mode" (LMB top go forward, MMB to go backward, spacebar to accept).

As gabio said, it might be because the translation is not complete:
I tried and I can see a few menus / buttons translated, but not much more.

For example, I see the menu of the User Preferences with translations.

Do you get the same?

This 2.35 will be amazing... A few things: * The Outliner looks very promising! * Wouldn't the "Passepartout" (weird name, BTW) option be better in the "Object (F7) > Draw Panel"? Or in the User Preferences > View & Controls Window? It has not much to do in the Render Buttons Window (F10). *...

Request for Windows Blender: have %TEMP% be the temp folder

Hello, Sorry if this has been posted already. In the Windows version of Blender, shouldn't the directory: 'C:\Documents and Settings\<current user>\Local Settings\Temp\' be the default for the Temp directory, instead of '/tmp/' (C:\tmp\)? This has become the standard temp directory for Windows appli...

It's better with this version! But I still have some display problems with an ATI7500 on winXPSP1: - When starting Blender in full screen mode, all seems fine. If going to window mode afterward it still works ok, and if going back to fullscreen, still ok. - Now, when starting Blender in window mode ...

Not really a problem but it looks strange anyway: In edit mode, in solid-display mode and with backbuffer-display turned off, the function "F9 > Mesh Tools 1 > Draw faces" doesn't highlight the selected faces that are in the back of the mesh. This is weird as "F9 > Mesh Tools 1 > Draw Edges" does hi...

Ctrl-Tab displays a menu to switch between vertex-edit, edge-edit and face edit. It would be much faster if there was no menu, and if the select mode was just changing to the next one: - we are in vertex-edit mode, - Press ctrl-tab: --> we are now in edge-edit mode, - Press ctrl-tab: --> we are now...

Thanks for the build coders and gabio!:) Here are a few problems I found that I am not sure have been reported already. Selection problems: * selected Vertexes in vertex-edit mode that don't belong to a face will lose their selection if going to face-edit mode and then back to vertex-edit mode. - In...

In Solid Mode, with BackBuffer not activated, and in Edge Select Mode, it is not possible to see the edges at the back of an object (not even vertexes).

But it is possible to select them (so you can select something you cannot see).

I found that changes made in Edit Mode are undone in Object Mode if pressing Ctrl-Z.

However a change made in Object mode isn't undone in Edit Mode.

I wonder if that's a bug or a feature, it looks confusing to me.

Should the global undo undo changes made in Edit Mode?

Cheers,
