Mesh Modifier Nodes? Just a thought...

With the incredible versatility just starting to come into play from Material and Rendering nodes, I was wondering if anyone had thought about shifting the mesh modifier stack to the node system as well?

What if you want to change the modifier parameters? You'll have to copy again? I know it's picky, but it'd be nice to be able to automate the Shift-G -> Children Ctrl-C combination! Then I wouldn't have to worry about doing it each time I change the heirarchy. Man - Now you mention it, it does sound...

I've posted this in the tracker some time ago, but as yet, no reply. I was just applying a lattice to a fairly compley model and having to add the lattice modifier to every object in the heirarchy so that they'd be equally effected. Modifier didn't make 2.4 release?

I'm sure I played with the explode modifier in one of the earlier bf trests, but it didn't make it into the actual release.

Can we get this in the next release??

Made it crash by doing something stupid!

Accidentally enabled Fluid Dymaics on a Nurbs curve. Blender went Bye bye!

For what it's worth - I always hated using MMB (Too easy to scroll the wheel trying to click) so I got into the habbit of using Alt-LMB about 2 years ago and don't even think of it now.

Doesn't Python describe a MIDI API?

I guess some bright spark could add a python MIDI script.

Personally, if I want to use a MIDI in Blender, I use Audacity to record the MIDI playing throught the computer's synthesyzer and save it back as a WAV.
