The msvc6 projects are not up to date and elbeem as it is on CVS does not compile with msvc6 neither with scons nor with projects see -> http://projects.blender.org/pipermail/bf-committers/2005-September/011952.html and http://projects.blender.org/pipermail/bf-blender-cvs/2005-September/004576.html BM

Soft Body does not detect collision with an armature-deformed mesh. Is it a bug or a feature planned for a future release? Do I have to submit to the bugtracker? Anyway follow this link for a blend file and a screenshot: http://lusque.altervista.org/blender_poncho/Poncho_Soft_Body.html Right It onl...

.... okay, that works, but what causes the bouncing size? If you allow the ODE solver to take too large steps the systems looses stability and usually simply _explodes_ . The limit when this happens depends on the dimension of the system. Your example is close to the edge, so it starts to go chaoti...

i get a bad softbody think. the object seems to swell and bounce strangely. try this blend: http://www.toxicx.toxicengine.org/personal/sbprob.blend The edges of the cube have a lenght of about 0.2 . The error allowed to the ODE solver (RKL) is set to 0.1 . So either scale up the model or adjust RKL...

MSCV6 works fine with me here. Did you get the sources via CVS ? I remeber having problems with the sources from the nightly tar balls (CR/LF unix vs. windows problems ...) gave me an empty workspace irrc. Humm.. may be checking out CVS in cygwin has the same problem. Then you could try WinCvs or To...

Re: M blur

Are you going to fix softbodyes+mblur problem? It just doesn't do nothing  Rule says: stepping back in time resets softbody, so i think thats what happens. Mblur wants to move back to the past. [edit] hehe, cog is right: only happens when blur factor f > 0.5 [/edit] For the same reason weird ...

Bjornmose: ok I have to try that then...thx. All: Here´s a test of the latest softbody. Now...notice that every time the ball hits an corner it sticks.. and deforms the object itself, and if it hits an surface ..it just bounces without the deformations.. Is that a feature? :D If so...it´s pretty co...

JoOngle: - Softbody doesn´t work when object is parented to a bone. Hooks and armatures should work with SB on deformation. You need to enable the "PostDef" option to have SB calculations done after all other deformations. - Softbody doesn´t detect collision when a skinned mesh is used as a deflecto...

And, Blender skips frames when animation playback is too heavy to play, but also, Blender skips simulations too...We have to press left arrow key each frame to see simulation correctly. It's too hard to use it. .... May be you want to disable the "sync" option in the "Anim/Playback" buttons panel :...

This is what i get with the test-.blend for softbody collision detection. ... img removed .. The faces of the cube do not draw in solid-mode, and the collision detection does not seem to work properly either:/ Looks fine for me :) The cubes are not allowed to show solid: drawtype in objects panel i...

DYeater, May be you need make the *goalsprings* stronger, set GSpring to 0.75 or higher. In fact a weight of exactly 1.0 *welds* the SB vertex to the goal, all other values use the goal spring dynamics. hope that helps BM Well, as you can see in the image, my GSpring is at .750 and it makes no diff...

I think I found another bug. I made a flag (awesome softbodies  ), it is a quad mesh subsurfed at level 1 (Catmull-Clark). When rendering it becomes a triangle mesh (if you don't see the image copy and paste the link in a new browser window): http://lusque.altervista.org/blender_softbody/S...

I tried to ask at elysiun, but with poor luck: I take the provided template (waving cloth:on wind) and cut the hole in it. Then the softbody tended to fall down (the pinned vertices too!) Does the softbody support this kind of geometry (plane with hole), or it is a bug? Or I made a false step? (The...
