OK, I have committed code to the latest tuhopuu that should allow you to add or remove verts from a mesh with vertex keys without things going completely to hell. No fancy xsi stuff ... you get what you pay for. Be warned that if your mesh is also parented to an armature, the new verts will not hav...

Yes, you are right soletread, mybe I should not use Ik for the fingers, but I don't really feel like doing it.. I've alwasy found IK to be really annoying to use with fingers. What I did recently with fingers, is keep them as FK, but rig them with action constraints. Eg. an action for closed fist, ...

It's because your vertex weight groups are not set-up correctly. In your file, remove the arms from the 'chest' vertex group. Use Weight-paint mode to see which vertices are part of which group and by how much. Also, Please ask using Blender related questions on Elysiun: http://www.elysiun.com/forum...

That brings me to my suggestion - how about preset, loadable button screens that you have previously composed of different panels and then saved? Would that be possible/useful? It'd be like the render presets in tuhopuu. Just give it a thought. Been there for as long as I can remember! Use c...

Re: owow

questions I got: as an example. I want to use acdc - highway to hell :). where can I ask for? I think I can answer with respect to film. I believe it should be similar for music too. the way that normally works is that you have to find the legal representitive(distributer) of the material in questi...

anyway, I'm pretty sure the new knife tool will make pretty much everyone forget about Intersect. ONLY when the knife tool can use a pre-determined shape as a cutter, will it really be able to replace the intersect tool! That's what Intersect did and till something else can do that it won't be forg...

Re: vertice selection

Why is this different from the faces "selected" in normal Edit Mode? Can't help you regarding the python stuff, but to give you a quick answer to this question: A face selected in Edit mode does differ from a face selected in [UV] Face mode because in edit mode 'all faces determined by the selected...

BTW: if you want to contact me personally, please use email or something. I know your idea is kind of on-topic to this thread, but it's a very fine distinction and it's not good to hijack other threads to another topic (yes I'm guilty of this too) :) Don't worry, I hate hi-jacking threads too! It's not very efficient though and quite un-userfriendly (impossible to find by 'exploring'). It would be nice to have a single button/menu entry/whatever that would just flip the matrix or whatever and mirror it. It would also alleviate the annoying 'must keep the mouse perfectly still' thing, too...

I might be misunderstanding you. Do you mean every frame where you have an ipo keyframe, or do you mean every frame of the animation in which case: Why do you want to do it through python??? 1) Go to the renderbuttons, 2) select PNG as your output, 3) select a directory where you want to save your f...

Wow, that's great. Do you remember his nickname or maybe an email to contact him ? Nope, sorry, but afaik he was involved in the development of the python api that was being worked on for NAN 2.25+, so maybe some of the python developers might remember him - ie. if any of the current python develop...

John Aughey was once developing such a script for Blender and the demos were pretty impressive! (anybody remembers the animation of a bluish/purplish 3D mech robot in front of a real computer monitor lit using fake HDRI?) As far as I know he had put the project on hold when Nan went down! :? Don't r...
