Thought I'd also quote Karim opinion which I agree with very stongly. I don't think the recessed text fields should have a gradient. The problem still present is that (imo) there are still several different visual cues per different button and which adds noise! Lightness vs darkness is already a ve...

Re: Basic feature requests:

1) As I build more and more complex scenes, I'm starting to rely more and more on the layers for organizing objects. For example, if I have a really complex particle system, I'll put it on one layer and turn it off for general editing so I don't bog my machine down. It would be nice if we could lab...

Re: Please build a binary

Could someone please build a windows or linux binary with this new feature and post a link to this forum. I unfortunately do not have the time to build it myself, but having the feature would speed up my work greatly. Search at Elysiun, there's a windows build for sure. Title of thread says somethi...

I use NLA extensively and never encountered this problem. What could be happening is that your action has one keyframe one frame ahead of the rest so the action is defined by frames x to y when in actual fact if not for that misplaced keyframe, your action would have been x to y-1. Does it happen wi...

As a midway compromise, right now I've got it with arrows always displayed, but lighter then before so it's not so noisy. The arrows get darker on mouseover. Good idea! Will give proper opinion when I see it in action! It's recessed like normal number fields rather than sticking out on a but...

D'oh! /me puts on his reading glasses! :P I still think number fields would be good though as a general purpose addition (not just for this particular idea). Definetly! Easier numerical input is a good idea! I think the UI control to adjust LocX, LocY, etc. is a different concept to having sliders ...

Sliders would be no good, since sliders are meant to represent a percentage or a position within a finite range. A LocX could be 1 or 1000000000 blender units - what do you set the upper limit of the slider to? I wouldn't say no good completely... for example, RVK sliders use the N key while the mo...

I am just worried its not Really an NLA thing in terms of what the NLA base purpose is. What you have are 2 different concepts using the same system. Personally I think its a natural extension of the NLA and what the NLA already does. I really don't see it fitting anywhere else! I don't know, am I ...

Ok, I think I am beginning to see the light at the end of your tunnel  Yes, a slider in the NLA window. Do you think your idea is do-able now-ish? What I mean is, would it need an excessive overhaul of the code. From your comments I guess you arent really a coder. I haven't got the slightest c...

One thing though, are you sure about putting the sliders in the IPO windows. The reason is its not as quick to operate. What I have noticed in other systems is the sliders are all accessable at once, that is one for hand.L and another for hand.R etc all in the same window at the same time. I don't ...

So basically a slider per bone really. That doesn't seem to be very practical. What I would suggest is to have NLA action strips be attached to an influence ipo (similar to edit ipo in the action constraint) ie. 1) You create an action normally eg Clench fist 2) You convert action keys to an NLA ac...
