Unfortunatly Alpha channel doesn't work through raytraced objects (though I cannot understand why - at least rudimentary. Blender is an artistic tool not a technical tool) The (not always reliable) work-around I've managed to use on some occasions is to make my base material a chroma key colour and ...

Re: povray exporter- working alpha

Hi, heres my latest attempt at a povray exporter- Its only just useable now but it has some nice features. - Simple meshs export - Autosmoothing applied! you should try to export subsurf to see the real qualities of this peace of code... Inkulator9000 - opensource NPR

This interesting opensource NPR just popped up on cgtalk - might interest someone here: http://inkulator.sourceforge.net/ Has some pretty cool features including exporting the render as an ai(illustrator) file! So might be useful to those interested in swf or other vector rendering export etc. Curre...

@z3ro_d: That's a good idea for visually removing/replacing all material by one material. But you don't unassign any materials logically Actually, you logically do - using the same method: 1. select a mesh with no material assigned (or delete material from current selected mesh) 2. Select all (mesh...

Something like that could be done if we switched the system around. Instead of using the DrawTypes as maximum value, they could be used as Minimum values (I guess this could be a User Pref). All object would default to BoundBox. In your case, you'd set your main character to Shaded (to make him alw...

it is mostly for timimg of animations of meshes and such Not only. it also makes quick decent dummy footage you can edit till the final renders come in. - which is why it would be nice if someone had the time & inclination to put the opengl render as an optional render engine (render camera viewpor...

What would also be very useful, along the same lines, is if the dupliverting cycled through all children objects rather than placing a copy of each at every vert. (Could happen randomly, in sequence etc)

I have transparent Samurize window at upper right corner of my screen. When blender is initially started default position of render window is just behind that win so i usually move it by those 9 buttons in render pane. But now after first render it's not possible. I remember that there was a featur...

jms, i'm feeling dumb on this one. If i select the two vertices of an edge of a cube and press the bevel button, should it bevel that edge? Nothing yet. thanks, -1 1) Select your vertices 2) Go out of Edit mode (Works in Object Mode and face mode) 3) Bevel!! Works great in the small tests i did.

alt+shift+a it works (try puting your cursor in a 3d view) also, I am not sure if it is still true, but I rememeber it being that ipo windows (and sound windows and action windows and nla windows....) will not play using this unless the cursor is in them.
