Game Engine Issues

Use this thread to help find all issues with the game engine so they can be fixed by 2.33 Definately getting close, most things work, theres a few general issues I've seen: *Some issues with slowdown on added objects (in one case leading to a crash) *dRot in motion actuators still does nothing *In s...

Just wanted to add, this is the first version of OpenBlender that will run my flagship project CrescentDawn. It uses dynamic loading of the level through add objects, and is considerably slower than 225 during the loading, but other than that and the no drot problem, it appears to perform identicall...

Game Engine Notes

Definately getting close, most things work, theres a few general issues I've seen: *Some issues with slowdown on added objects (in one case leading to a crash) *dRot in motion actuators still does nothing *In several cases, where I tried to convert dRot to torque, the axis was backwards (left before...

The definite plan is to finish integrating solid so that there is a 2.25 compatible version to work off of. Where we go after this is not decided at all, but there are surely a lot of options. I think replacing the renderer aspect with an existing, stable, renderer such as CS would be a good move, s...

I was going to do that if I had the money.

But I think kester's ODE is pretty close to getting us to the point where we really don't need solid anymore.

Lol I would have no idea how to fix this - even if it was broken! I am curious why it doesn't work on your system. Without headphones, the plane demo produces a quite noticeable pitch shift for me. It is slightly broken though, I have a game with a looped running water sound with doppler, and no mat...

Do a search at elysiun.com

There has been a lot of discussion about this problem in the realtime engine forums over there. This bug is well known, and there are limited workarounds

WOW, nice preview there.

The graphics are really good, it can be a little frustrating to find the opponents though, and the bullets go too slow (but Im sure you had to do that because of collision problems) but its coming along nicely.

Nice use of borrowed content! Actually a pretty fun little game to play, although better collisions for the weapons would help a lot as well as stopping things from going through floors (but at least you provided a little bit of relief in that he comes back to life after falling through the floor). ...

You are most likely not seeing the actor buttons because they are above the top of the window. Scroll the window up (middle mouse button drag the game buttons window down to see the top row) and you should see the actor buttons:) And planes seem to work ok for me Hos. I don't know what problem you'r...

The buttons go in order from left to right, top to bottom. So you would want the button right next to the upper left button, if you were sure what layer things were on. Note: pressing the layer button turns the layer on, pressing it again turns the layer off. So you are could be in a situation where...

Nope thats not it. There is a problem with the polyheder implementation. Some more things I noticed: On some polyheders, their collision boundaries seem quite a bit bigger than the actual polygons. On the test with the stacked boxes, they dont stand up very well, jiggle around a lot, and with the sa...
