Thanks for the work it took you to build that Hos. I appreciate it:)

Most of the tests worked, except for the bumpy terrain and the first ball-in-chute test. In those two the ball fell straight through the ground.

lol, your answer was fine, but people are supposed to keep these sorts of questions on elysiun, while talking about development or bugs here :)

elysiun.com sticky

At the top of the forums, there should be a sticky directing people with blender usage questions rather than bug reports/development questions to the elysiun forums. New people don't know anything about elysiun!

Come check out elysiun.com, it's a better place for your questions:)

This site is more geared to programming the engine itself, rather than making things with it.

SDL would be my vote. As for controlling the values, you could use it similarly to the mouse movement actuator and have it return how much it changed on each axis, or just some coordinates, -1,-1 would be the joystick all the way in the upper left corner. Then use python to figure out what those val...

Yes, this is possible. You will need to install a webserver, if your windows doesn't already have one. A good one many people use is apache (www.apache.org). They can take a bit of work to set up, but if you have a good connection it can be worth it. No monthly fee, and store as much as you have har...

Hmm, the only way I could see to do that would be to have a texture. I think if you do a 2d layer, it goes over the top of everything, which isnt what you want. I'll look into it eventually if I ever get that far :(

There is no workaround that I know of currently, but hopefully in the future, changing images/textures/meshes, etc will all be better supported in the game engine (and in realtime too).

Not a bad idea, it would definately take some source code to pull off though. One of the limitations currently of the blender game engine is you can't load textures on the fly, in other words, you are limited to what textures you have on hand. Piping in a texture constantly updating with live video ...

I wouldn't exactly call it a feature either, it's a combined set of features that when put together equals a good tool for hobby games or rapid-developed games. And maybe in the future, pro games:) Some good work you've got on the site, come by www.elysiun.com and show it off at the forums there. Th...

Actually monkeyboi, 2.25 can play .mp3 files. I have done it before. However, it can be quite picky as to the format of the mp3 files it can use. I don't know if anyone knows the correct format, but if you try a bunch of mp3s, eventually you should find one that works. Find out what format it is and...

Managing .blend resources

Not sure where this should go, but I've been having lots of trouble managing resources in blender. You know, adding/deleting textures and the like. I have a few textures that aren't attached to any objects, but they wont go away. I've totally unpacked everything and deleted files and they dont seem ...

Looks good, might be some good news for a change! By the way, if you've checked the mailing list suddenly some developers have come out of the woodwork. I'm sure somebody can work on solid when its ready, and I'll trudge through it if no one else will.

Looks like you all had a blast! Nice to see some more pics of all the blenderites together kicking it back, away from using their precious 3d software for a bit to, well, TALK, about their precious 3d software:)

Rest of the show looks alright as well.

Cheers.
