yes, you are right, i dont suppose the dialog boxes would need headers.
The only reason they are there was to match the blender ui; i was basically trying to make the dialogs look like the Floating Panels (for example the Transform Properties Dialog that comes up when you press 'N')

Well i guess most of you don't like this idea. Which is fine by me. Your right, in some instances it would slow down the workflow, but as i said, we should definitely keep popups such as Subdivide, Extrude, Specails Menu, etc as they are. I would also hate to have dialog boxes for EVERY option. My p...

My point was not that im blind and i hunt and peck (which i dont), it was that its harder to ignore a dialog than a popup, and harder to see the difference between a Quit Confirmation Dialog and a Subdivide popup. That whole deal was because the 'Q' key is right next to the 'W' key, and the popups f...

mockups- dialog boxes in blender (vs. popups)

Well, I was taking a look at some things in blender, and decided to make my first mockup! (so forgive me for the crappiness :D ) I was thinking about how pop ups look in blender, like the one for quit: http://doug.mud-puddle.co.nz/albums/public/quitpopup.jpg the annoying thing is that if you acciden...

As far as i know, you can open the Thumbnail image browser by holding CTRL while you press 'Load Image'

But they're right, it is very buggy (which makes no since to me because it hasn't changed since 2.25 which worked fine... :? )

i just love your work monkeyboi! i have 2 ideas/suggestions: when you render an animation, there should be two progress bars, one that shows the status of the current frame and the other that shows the progress of the entire animation. Also, for noobs (and convenience for exp. users) there should be...

no, i thought that bumpmapping was simulating surface structure on an object, while displacement mapping is the actual distortion of a mesh according to the lights and darks of a texture.

this happens to me sometimes, but only if i open a blender file off of a cd, and then save it from blender to a different location (instead of copying the file from the cd in widows)

i also have winxp home edition.

for the customizable mouse layout, i had an idea. in the user-preferences window, there could be a section with a diagram of a mouse. each feature would be listed (select, manipulate view, place cursor, etc.) and the user could drag-and-drop the features on to the buttons. also, it should be possibl...
