Hoehrer: Yeah well... theeth was looking into it a bit more deeply than that as well. But I spoke to him and like me he's rather stuck for time. Also... as far as I can tell... the source hasn't really "stabilised" yet. At least last time I had errors compiling the cvs after update cause for instanc...

Well yeah but the link to logos by blender are hard to find... I recently spent quite a bit of time looking for them. I can understand a webmaster that has to look for a ton of link images giving up and doing something crappy after 10mins of looking. May I suggest a little box on blender's homepage ...

thanks mate that does look interesting. But I had a word with Ton a while back and well it looks like doing major coding in the render bits of blender right now is not a good idea. He's doing masses of work in there now. So for me... right now I'm working on other projects until perhaps the recode r...

Oh dude... in that case... why don't you just set "env" for the cube you don't want to see... that way it'll still render the shadows it casts but the background where the cube is. that works for ao as well. "btw" I normally end up doing multiple renders for stuff like this... like one layer with on...

MicWit: If for compositing you want a material to only cast shadows on an animated object and not show up itself at all... just switch on the ztransp and set alpha to 0. That works better than shadow only, for that case and I use it a lot. So in your case... say you have a building which needs to ca...

that's exactly what it looks like to me. I dunno but it might be that ehm... perhaps the login cookie that is saved is domain specific? so if you enter through the other domain it doesn't register properly??? Otherwise... if phpbb doesn't allow for multiple domain setup... how about adding a tiny re...

ok question. I've been looking at the code and have followed (with help) the render function through the files. So now I have to determin a point at which I can for instance play with the camera angle and match that to the UV layout and such. I'm looking hardest at the shadepixel function because th...

Baking internal project
Hola folks. Ok some of you may know I wrote the BRayBaker python plugin, which you can find here: http://www.alienhelpdesk.com/index.php?id=20 I came to the conclusion that a function like it is really needed in blender internal. So since it doesn't look like anyone else is planning anything even re...

having to add a topic twice?
Right a bit of an oddity and I'm probably not the only one faced with this. Whenever I come here and try to reply or post a new thread... the first time all it does is bring me back to the forum home page. Then I have to look for the thread all over again and click the post reply button again... all...

well for the ball bouncing example. Why not render the ball bouncing with mblur in blender internal with a alpha background. Then render the ball bouncing again but without mblur and also an alpha bg in yafray. Then the background in yafray Then stick mblurred ball between the yafrays render in an e...
