I think you'd have to give some more info on your lighting.

Also you'd get a lot more response using the users forum at elysiun.com

Hmm just got a new error in python saying: "invalid bit(s) set in mask"

This when I execute a simple and previously working: "NewMaterial.mode |= Material.Modes.ZTRANSP"

Also just noticed... setting layer for a sun lamp still makes it render trashadows cast by objects on other layers.

I don't have a config.opts.

I'm using cygwin/make and have a user-def.mk

But in nan_definitions.mk there's a check for anything set in user-def.mk and in both those files I have: export NAN_PYTHON_VERSION=2.4

I don't get it. The paths to the lib files look correct as well.

Hmm... actually python 2.3 isn't anywhere on my system anymore, least of all my environment variables. Nor is it in my nan_definitions.mk or SConstruct.

Basicly I've no idea where any reference to 2.3 came from.

I've actually seen it read NAN_PYTHON_VERSION 2.4 in the cygwin console during build.

Well never mind the above folks.

I got it to compile!!

strange thing though...
My build asks for python 2.3 when it clearly says 2.4 in SConstruct...

any ideas?

errors compiling

I've been trying to get blender to build all day... I'm an absolute n00b at working with cvs style stuff and this many includes so bare with me please. You can see the errors I keep getting here: http://pastebin.com/426982 It seems to be the "unresolved externals" that does it. I get less errors whe...
