Thanks again zero... I do appreciate it. I understand your points as well... Basicly all I want to look at is what you did for the "extrude". I don't need to restore uv coords or anything... basicly till now I simply rendered the square tiles as square tiles. In stead now I"m using the uv coords whi...

pildano: that's nice, I don't know what you think I should be doing with that though, perhaps you can code it yourself? ;) Zero I've been trying that script of yours you pasted here but that doesn't seem to create the "seam solution". Also the mesh it creates is really really odd... in edit mode it ...

Zero: that's very informative and thank you for the clear response. And yeah.. I just did some tests with exactly that "bad" result. I don't know if it's fixable though.... especially since I'm doing something quite different... at the same time.. I do mostly get that result at the edges of the text...

your script: could be used in place of jms's or my second script, but it doesn't extrude the face edges or preserve the original uv coordinates [also much slower, but the results it can get outweight that issue] You may wish to have another look... there's a second version on the page at my site th...

pildanovak: this script can render radio/texture/vertex colors/ao... anything... what more do you want? Maybe I should have called it the AnyBaker... but I just didn't like that. And there's a version out that renders to your unwrapped uv's. I am not interested in making it unwrap models as well... ...

Right found the error and updated the script... I simply had a line of code in there checking for a certain anomaly that I had fixed already.

The same download link on my page...

Hmm zero.. yes the mesh you made gives me 2 errors. http://www.alienhelpdesk.com/misc/zeroerror.jpg This is not an issue with UV allignment but with the camera angle. So I apparently overlooked something in my math. I'll find that bug. And I started a thread on the elysiun.com python forum as well.....

Blender Raytrace Baker 1 release

Hola folks. BRayBaker 1 (or Blender Raytrace Baker 1) So I'm in the middle of an animation project and I love ao & stuff.... but I don't want to wait an hour for each frame. Thus I wrote this script. It's a bit nuts I know, but it seems to work. Here's the link: http://www.alienhelpdesk.com/index.ph...

Look here: http://www.alienhelpdesk.com/index.php?id=22

That's the script I've just done. It uses some of your blenderfarm code for compiling the image.. you may remember me asking you about it ;)

Hey perhaps this script could be combined with mine.... I'm "releasing" it for testing later today... I'm especially interested in how you calculated the groups based on what I think must be the normal angle?

Does it only group faces with exactly the same angle? And does it deform anything??

Something odd with new ortho camera. When setting to ortho & then resetting to perspective I see this: http://www.alienhelpdesk.com/misc/orthoreseterror.jpg This in wireframe view... and whilst the camera is pointed at objects. When I leave the camera view and then go back into it it's fine. The scr...

UV texturing mode is for sticking images on your mesh really... so you'd have to Open an image in that grey on dark grey window.

There is currently really no way to preview the regular texture you were using without rendering it.

I have a strange error... when I create a new scene with new camera and meshes and everything through python... it only renders black and white. Same with previous build, unable to test this script with 2.36 Can't give an example file cause when you save and reopen it does render color. It's not the...
