Have no idea why Debian is splitting off pyconfig.h like that, tho. Very strange, indeed. Compiler specific files are often split off like that, but this is unusual for regular includes I wonder what the rationalization is? Problems compiling SVN are often fixed in a day or so. If you need immediat...

Depends on platform. i386 puts pyconfig.h in /usr/include/i386-linux-gnu/python3.3m/pyconfig.h amd64 puts pyconfig.h in: /usr/include/x86_64-linux-gnu/python3.3m/pyconfig.h Was really perplexing. On my work system which is i386 and using Ubuntustudio 12.04 I compiled Python3.3 to /opt/py33 and it's ...

Python3.3 build error

Python3.3 has split its .h files between two locations in the include directory. Unfortunately, SVN can only see one of them. As such, even tho the file exists, just not where SVN Blender expects it, the compile fails. I really don't want to tweak my python environment just to compile SVN - this is ...

You may find your answers here. I use Ubuntu-Studio so can't help you much with Windows.

Compiles fine with CUDA turned off. Of course, CUDA is a must for me.

Compile terminating

I've been compiling svn almost daily for several weeks with no issues. Today, it's choking on the CUDA: "/opt/cuda/bin/nvcc" -arch=sm_21 -m64 --cubin --ptxas-options="-v" --maxrregcount=24 --opencc-options -OPT:Olimit=0 -DCCL_NAMESPACE_BEGIN= -DCCL_NAMESPACE_END= -DNVCC -I "intern/cycles/kernel/../u...

That was it. I changed BF_OPENCOLLADA_LIBPATH = '/home/mikev/Documents/CreativeTools/Blender/OpenCollada-SVN/opencollada' to BF_OPENCOLLADA_LIBPATH = '/home/mikev/Documents/CreativeTools/Blender/OpenCollada-SVN/opencollada/lib' and it compiled and I have the import/export option for Collada now. My ...

error: undefined reference to 'COLLADASW::LibraryGeometries::closeGeometry()' Undefined references mean the linker is not finding something. Usual causes are either bad library paths or the wrong library name. A third possibility is a version mismatch. Thanks. Obviously the INC path is correct or i...

Solved one but another problem resulting from solution

I dropped Ubuntu's rubbish and downloaded OpenCollada from the SVN and compiled that directly, per instructions on this page: http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/User:Kazanbas/Building_Collada_Branch I updated my user-config.py to this: WITH_BF_OIIO = True WITH_BF_BOOST = True WITH_BF_OPENMP = True WI...

Problem compiling with OpenCollada and Quicktime

Ubuntu 12.04 64-bit. All devs installed. For openCollada, I manually looked and found the include files the compile said was missing, tried various settings in the user-config.py to no avail. Here's the user-config.py: WITH_BF_OIIO = True WITH_BF_BOOST = True WITH_BF_OPENMP = True WITH_BF_FFTW3 = Tr...

Re: Keyboard Shortcuts for 2.5

I have searched the internet for 2.5 keyboard shortcuts. I found what looked like a promising PDF on the internet. The shortcuts were disappointing because many of them were wrong or missing. I already have the 2.49 shortcuts and do not use that anymore since I am working with 2.5. 2.5 warrants its...
