Maybe something like, baking the final output texture and map it to uv. So game engine could benefit from this.

New build available: The changelog in the development section on blender3d.org (see InfoCenter) is lagging a bit behind, but I'll be updating it soonish. Don't know about the 2rd edition... but i do know that this book do not cover the game engine. An entire book is done for that: the game engine toolkit.

yes, runtime will be back, see the "save runtime" in the file menu...
Some work have to be done before then, but it will work(i hope).

cygwin isn't very stable ad is of course not optimised. But the test itself is interesting... what about the new AO setting?

ho no it's not mine in any way... i was triying to get some of zbrush feature to blender but to do a very powerfull thing like this you new a new sort of mesh... anyway a new mesh type was a good idea. And doing it with actual mesh data could be very heavy in system performance... anyway if you want...
